Paul Louis Metzger

Dr. Paul Metzger is Professor of Christian Theology and Theology of Culture at Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and Director of the seminary’s Institute for the Theology of Culture: New Wine, New Wineskins. Integrating theology and spirituality with cultural sensitivity stands at the center of Dr. Metzger’s ministry vision.

Dr. Metzger is the author or editor of numerous articles and books, including Consuming Jesus: Beyond Race and Class Divisions in a Consumer Church (Eerdmans 2007). Interviews with Dr. Metzger have appeared in The Oregonian, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Leadership Journal, and Willamette Week. He has appeared on radio and television, and in the recent movie, Lord, Save Us from Your Followers.

Dr. Metzger is a member of the Center of Theological Inquiry, Princeton, New Jersey. His partnership with Dr. John M. Perkins is opening increasing doors for ministry across the country, and he is committed to building ever-increasing inroads for communication in diverse venues inside and outside the Christian setting.
